Understanding Telehealth:
It's Not A Remote Concept Anymore
Our panel will address the important and emerging trend toward telehealth. Using examples, we will explore the legal issues associated with telehealth and discuss the risks and benefits associated with providing this service to patients. Topics will include, among others, patient confidentiality, concerns regarding state licensure, the laws affecting the prescribing of medications, private health insurance payments for such service, medical malpractice concerns, the marketing of such services and risk management.
