Bob Lightfoot is a Shareholder in the Health Care Practice Group. He represents nursing homes, assisted living facilities and hospitals in the areas of survey and certification, licensure, regulatory compliance, risk management, HIPAA compliance, and transactional matters. He represents the health care industry on numerous matters before State and Federal agencies, including Wisconsin DHS and CMS, the U.S. Attorneys’ Office and the Wisconsin DOJ. He also represents health care and other licensed professionals in license matters before the Wisconsin Department of Regulation & Licensing.
Bob was recognized in Madison Magazine as one of the top health care lawyers in Dane County in 2007 and 2009 and is listed in Best Lawyers in America® in Health Care Law.
He is a frequent lecturer on health care facility regulation, operations and issues affecting health care professionals and is a contributor to the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association Newsletter.
Bob is an approved DHS trainer for CBRF facilities for Medications and Standard Precautions and a member of the Center for Excellence in Assisted Living (CEAL) Advisory Council. He is also a licensed Registered Nurse and brings to his law practice nearly a decade of nursing experience. In 1993 he served as the Dehn Medico-Legal Fellow at the Marshfield Clinic.
